How USA Dentist Directory works
USA Dentist Directory helps you find dental practices by city and specialty and compare the basics (hours, insurance notes, services, accessibility, and emergency policy) before you call. USA Dentist Directory is operated by Now Media Group.
Top listings
- Top listings (featured). Top means the practice is a featured Now Media Group client listing on USA Dentist Directory. It is not a clinical rating, license check, review score, or insurance verification. Top listings carry the Top badge and may include extra practice details (see "Where listing facts come from" below).
No listing on USA Dentist Directory is a quality ranking. We don't rate dentists or endorse any clinical treatment. We don't book appointments; you contact the practice directly by phone or through its website. This directory doesn't include every dentist in a city. If you don't see a good fit, check your insurer's provider directory or your state or provincial dental board (links below).
What "Sponsored" means
Top listings also carry a Sponsored label next to the Top badge, because they are featured Now Media Group client listings. Separate ad blocks on the site are labeled Sponsored too. Basic listings are never labeled Sponsored.
Where listing facts come from
Some Top listings show extra details: insurance accepted, whether the practice is taking new patients, languages spoken, services, published prices, accessibility, emergency or walk-in policy, and office hours. We take these facts from only two places:
- The practice's own website, and
- The practice's Google Business Profile.
For each fact we record the page it came from and the date we checked it. If we can't find a fact in those sources, we leave it off. We never estimate or fill in blanks. If the two sources disagree (for example, different hours), we hide that fact until it's resolved.
We only show prices when the practice publishes them itself, and we show them as the practice's own published estimate. Your actual cost depends on your treatment plan and your coverage.
What "Last verified" means
The "Last verified" date on a listing is the date we last confirmed that listing's facts from the sources above. Practices change hours, insurance networks, and policies, so treat every fact as a starting point:
- Before you book, call the practice to confirm your insurance plan, availability, and cost.
- Check the dentist's license with your state or provincial dental board:

Dental emergencies
USA Dentist Directory is not an emergency service. For a dental emergency, call a dentist right away. Many offices keep time open for emergencies. If bleeding won't stop, you're in a lot of pain, or you think your jaw is broken, go to a hospital emergency room. Health guides and medical review
Our guides are general information, not medical advice. When a licensed dentist reviews a guide, their name and review date appear at the top of that guide. Guides without a reviewer line have not had a clinical review yet.

If a practice's details are out of date, please tell us using the contact option in the site footer and we'll re-check the sources.
